Onshape for Education is a free cloud-based 3D modelling app for iPad, Laptops and PCs. The amazing feature about this app is that it can run in-browser such as inside Chrome or Safari. With a student account, you are given a space to autosave your work on the cloud as you work. This app is ideal for making precision models that require specific measurements and CAM processes. My students have really benefitted from using Onshape for their prototyping and final 3D products!

During the COVID-19 lockdowns, my students were able to continue working on their NEA portfolios and 3D modelling because everyone just needed internet access and a browser to use Onshape. Some students were even so daring to 3D model in their phones (not recommended)!
